WHAT IS RYANAIR'S POLICY ON THE CARRIAGE OF UNACCOMPANIED MINORS?
Ryanair does not carry unaccompanied minors (under 14 years). Escort and special facilities are NOT available. Ryanair will carry unaccompanied minors aged 14 or 15 years ONLY upon completion and signature of a form OF indemnity at check-in of EACH departure airport, by a parent or guardian.
Children under the age of 14 years must always be accompanied on the same reservation by a passenger over 16 years.
Unaccompanied minors aged 14 or 15 years travelling must present the required valid photo-id at check-in. The parent or guardian of the unaccompanied minors, are required to remain in the airport until the flight has departed.
Spanish/French resident children under the age of 18 who are travelling without their parents/legal guardians on a valid national identity card on flights between European Economic Area (EEA) countries must have a form (collected from their local police station) of written authorisation to travel from their parents. This form will need to be presented at the check-in desk and passport control. They will be unable to board the flight without this form.
Portuguese routes: Portuguese nationals and alien residents under 18 years leaving or re-entering Portugal unaccompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian need a travel authorisation. This must be signed by the father, mother or legal guardian with the signature notarised if the father, mother or legal guardian reside in Portugal; or authenticated by a Portuguese embassy or consulate in the country where the father, mother or legal guardian reside.This travel authorisation is also required when minors are accompanied by a person other than their father, mother or legal guardian. In such cases the travel authorisation must also clearly show the name of the accompanying person.
Foreign minors under 18 years and traveling alone may be refused entry if they do not have anyone in Portugal taking responsibility for their stay.
All Latvian children under 18 travelling without their parent or guardian must provide the following at check-in: - A valid passport and their birth certificate along with written permission from their parents or guardian which must be co-signed by a solicitor confirming that they consent to the child travelling without them.
