UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
An unaccompanied minor (UM) is any person under the age of 12 travelling unescorted. The minimum age for an unaccompanied minor is 6 years. Any request for the carriage of Unaccompanied Minors must be passed to passengers´ tour operators. Please note the following points:
Children under 6 years shall not be accepted for unaccompanied travel
A child between 6 and 12 years is not regarded as a suitable escort for a junior companion who is 12 years or under.
Unaccompanied minors must be escorted to the airport and escorts must remain at the airport for one hour after the aircraft has departed in case the aircraft should return.
The escort must sign a "Liability Release Declaration" by which the minor is authorised to travel and Futura is released from any responsibility during transportation.
Unaccompanied minors will be seated towards the front or at the rear of the aircraft so they can be monitored carefully by senior crew members
On arrival at the destination, the child must be met by the person named on the Unaccompanied Minor form and will not be released to anyone else. Under no circumstances should arrangements be made for the child to be collected by a taxi / transferred to a bus.
Passengers of 12 years and over are regarded as adult and we would not expect them to require any special handling.
